Quarter 2 PE Logs will be reviewed and printed today, Jan 12th for students’ work records to submit to their cumulative file at the CAVA main office.
Please be sure your student’s log is updated through today by 5pm. You are able to log PE minutes 2 weeks out if your child is involved in weekly sports and you are aware of how much time is put in to the specific sport event. Please also look over Quarter 1 to ensure you have the minimum amount of hours as well.
Please then continue to update them as they will be reviewed again at 5pm on the last day of the semester, Thursday, Jan 17th for their Semester 1 Report Card.
Please remember to enter in your PE minutes for each 2 week period. Please follow these easy steps to complete your PE log:
1. Log onto www.cavaparent.org
2. Select “Physical Education” – “Logs”
3. Choose Quarter Two
4. Click “Add New”
5. Select the two week period that needs updating (Weeks 1&2, Weeks 3&4, Weeks 5&6, Weeks 7&8, Weeks 9&10).
6. Choose your activity and enter your minutes. Please enter the minutes you spent on that activity for the ENTIRE 2 week period. For example, if your student played basketball each day (30 minutes for 10 days) please calculate it all together as 300 minutes or 5 hours rather than 10 separate entries of 30 minutes. (This allows me to print the PE log on one page at the end of the quarter.)
7. Keep adding activities until you are done.
8. Remember, you need to do PE for at least 20 minutes every day, or at least 200 minutes for each 2-week period.
Weeks 1 & 2 (10/23 to 11/02) 180 minutes/9days
Weeks 3 & 4 (11/05 to 11/16) 180 minutes/9days
Weeks 5 & 6 (11/26 to 12/07) 200 minutes/10days
Weeks 7 & 8 (12/10 to 12/21) 160 minutes/8days
Week 9 (1/7 to 1/11) 100 minutes/5days
Week 10 (1/14 to 1/17) 80 minutes/4days
