Next week’s LCU sessions are detailed below. 

 

End-of-the-Year Assessments: Overview and Explanation – March 18th at 9:00 am

Have you ever wondered what year-end assessments you child must take, why are they taking them, and why are their results important?  If this has ever run through your mind, then we have the class for you!  Please join Kristi Scherzinger and Michelene Fitzgerald at the End-of-the-Year Assessments: Overview and Explanation session for answers to these questions.

 

Supporting Struggling Readers – March 18th at 11:30 am

Need ideas to help engage and motivate your struggling reader(s)?  Come and join Stacee Smith to get some ideas, resources, and support to help with motivating students 2nd -8th grade!  This Learning Coach University session is full of information and great ideas to help get students motivated to learn.

 

How to Help Your Student(s) Stay Organized – March 18th at 1:00 pm

Do you struggle with getting your student to keep their school materials and lessons organized?  Are you unsure of what your student should be keeping or throwing away?  Then you need Connie Bisacchi’s help!  Join her in the LCU session, “How To Help Your Student(s) Stay Organized” to gain tips on how to help teach your student how to organize their school materials, keep their assignments and completed work organized, and how to maintain an organized workspace throughout the day.  It’s never too late to bring organization into your life!

 

Supporting Gifted/Advanced Learners – March 20th at 2:00 pm
Join Cheri Foreman in an informative session to help support your gifted or advanced learner(s).  Learn ways on how to keep the curriculum exciting so you won’t hear, “This is boring,” anymore!  Resources for how to help keep the joy of learning alive in your student will also be shared.

 

Teaching Multiple Children in Multiple Grade Levels – March 21st at 8:00 am

How can you be an effective Learning Coach to multiple children and still maintain your sanity?  CAVA teacher Sarah Vigrass will offer management and organization tips and strategies for combining curriculum for parents schooling multiple children in different grades.  

 

End-of-the-Year Support for Middle School Students – March 22nd at 12:00 pm

Calling all Middle School Families!  As we quickly approach the end of the year, are your Middle School students slowing down instead of revving up for a strong finish?  Please join CAVA Teacher Christy Harris as she breaks down all of the 2nd semester assignments and grading requirements to make sure your student develops a plan for success and finishes on top!

 

Making Math Meaningful – March 22nd at 2:00 pm

“Why do I need to learn this?”  If you’ve ever not known how to answer this question, this is the session for you!  CAVA teacher and previous Algebra teacher, Ronni Peck, will share with you the answers to this ever prevalent question from inquisitive students.
