Hello Everyone!
A few reminders about state testing:
· Week 1 testing starts TOMORROW (4/9/13).
· Please be sure you look below and verify what week your child is testing.
· Please have your child bring a bag filled with the recommended items (listed below) to use during their testing time. This is not required, but recommended to help keep them as comfortable as possible during their testing time.
· If another person, other than the legal guardian, is driving your child to/from the testing site, please bring the signed “drivers consent form” on the first day of testing.
· For attendance on testing days:
o Your child is not required to work on any other assignments while he/she is testing. You will go into the attendance tab and post attendance in the subject area they are testing for that day. For example if your child is testing in language art on Tuesday, then you will go in and post attendance for language arts only.
o In the event you do have your child work on other subject areas after testing, you can post that attendance too, but again, it is not required to have your child work on any other assignments during the days they are testing.
o If your child is not testing, for whatever reason, you are still required to complete work on the OLS. In other words, if your child is not scheduled to test until week 2, then you still have to have your child work on the OLS daily during week 1. If any other concerns come up, please contact me and we will discuss individual issues.
· Please note that this test is mandatory. If your child does not take the CST during their assigned week, you must work with me to schedule a make-up day in May (6th-17th).
Thank you and I know all of you will do great! If you have any questions about anything, please do not hesitate to contact me immediately. If something comes up tomorrow, the first day of testing and your teacher of testing has not listed their name and phone number to contact her on the flyer, please contact me on my cell phone: (209) 872-6367. I will have my phone on in the early morning hours until testing starts.
Thank you,
