Good morning!
As many of you have experienced, your student’s schedule was compacted earlier in the semester if they were either “late entering” or behind per their progress. If this was the case, student’s schedules were compacted meaning that some lessons were marked “complete” in the various subject areas (depending on grade level) and only the “key” lessons remained on the schedule. That being said, per the Middle School Grading Scale, there is a semester assessment that needs to be completed before the end of the semester in both History and Math. For those that had courses compacted, you will want to have your students refer to the attached “compacted assessments” so that they will be taking an assessment that matched the courses they took. For those who have not had their schedules compacted, they will continue taking the original semester assessment on their online schools for both History and Math. Below I have listed which grade levels will take which compacted assessment (attached)
6th grade
* Fundamentals (2 parts)
* World History A
7th Grade
· Pre Algebra (2 parts)
· World History B
8th Grade
· Algebra (2 parts)
· American History B
If your student did not have their courses compacted, please disregards this email. If you have any questions as to if I compacted their schedule (which you would have been notified prior to me doing so), please feel free to ask.
Once the assessments are completed, please go ahead and email me with the answers so that I can record your child’s grade.
Thank you so much.
