Hello Everyone,
I need to send out this important reminder as we near the end of our school year regarding attendance and progress. I know many of you are doing a great job with getting your work done and some of you are way ahead of schedule, but it’s important to note that you are still required to keep working until June 11th, the last day of school, and post attendance/progress.
The non-compliancy regulations will still apply until then and I don’t want anyone to go this far in the year and then start getting non-compliancy letters from administration. Just a reminder, 3 or more days of no attendance/progress sends a signal to them and a reminder to me to get in touch with you. 5+ days of no attendance/progress submits a non-compliancy issue and letter #1 is sent to you. After that, letter #2 and then a possible administration withdrawal. I don’t foresee that happening to anyone here, but I just wanted to give you a little reminder of the master agreement and what the steps are for non-compliancy.
Therefore, if you do finish at 100% and you have units that were compacted due to late entry or that you tested out of, I will go in and add those compacted lessons back into your child’s schedule so that they can continue to get school work completed on a daily basis. If you see that you are nearing 100% in many of your courses, you may want to step back and just do a few less lessons per day so that you can make it to the end of the year with no worries.
Being that we’re in the middle of collecting work samples for Q4, you will not need to submit any more work samples to me once I have all that I need from you (including the additional assignments), but again, students are still required to show attendance/progress daily until the last day of school.
Also, please make sure you are also working on Study Island and posting that on your attendance log.
