Hi Cava Families!
I just wanted to clarify some things about end of the quarter work samples. When quarter 2 comes, turning them in early will allow us to have a few days to ensure all samples are applicable to the requirements. Please remember to use the checklist attached to ensure all work samples are labeled correctly. When you are choosing the samples to turn in, please choose assignments that you are proud of and in your neatest, nicest writing.
Also, please see an example of an assignment sheet below so that you can ensure where you are to be looking so that the assignment required gets completed. Please make sure you look through all courses as some will have additional assignments due and others will not. In order to find these assignments, please use the pacing guide that was sent to you some time ago. For your convenience, I’ve attached grades 6-8 again. Please choose the appropriate grade level for your child and look through the assignments. I have attached an example down below.
Below is an example of a 7th grade pacing guide. I’ve attached the composition portion as that is what mainly applies for most right now. Please look at your pacing guides and assignment sheets individually. Below it shows under assignment 11 (which matches the assignment sheet) which is under the “Autobiographical Incident” unit and tells you that it is a UA type (which means unit assessment). It also tells you that lesson will come up in unit 2 lesson 5. In order to see this, you can look ahead using the arrows in your Online school (OLS) to see when it is coming up.
I hope this helps. Of course, if you have any questions, please let me know.
Thank you,
Christie Louis 6-8 Teacher 2360 Shasta Way Unit A |
